Connect Court Delays.

12/2/25 - We’ve observed some improvement in the performance of the Public Access Terminal (PAT) systems in Los Angeles, with slightly faster access times than previously reported. However, delays are still occurring—particularly with specific system functions, ongoing CAPTCHA issues, and intermittent periods of downtime throughout the day. The court’s IT team is actively working to identify and resolve the root causes, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

9/23/25 - Court systems in Los Angeles are currently experiencing latency issues due to a malware attack that occurred late Thursday afternoon, 9/18/25. The systems are accessible, functional, and up to date, however, please expect delays on criminal and civil orders due to the system performance issues resulting from the attack. Court clerks have confirmed they are actively working toward a resolution but cannot provide an ETA on full recovery at this time.

The District and County clerks in Floyd are currently migrating to a new system for their primary index. At this time, the primary online index will no longer be updated with new case information. Our team is working diligently to transition to a conventional in-court research process while the system migration is taking place. Please expect delays on all Floyd County orders during the migration period. 

12/18/25 - As part of our continued focus on providing timely updates and transparent communications, we want to keep you updated on the current delays and causes in Harris, TX. This follow-up outlines the latest developments and the actions now underway to help keep your work moving as well as provides communication language you can use with your own clients. 

As shared earlier, Harris County has implemented significant blocking of online login activity impacting automation agents for InformData and other providers. We recognize how frustrating this is and are continuing broader initiatives to drive fulfillment changes through technology and direct data access. 

In the interim, based on the sustained blocking activity, InformData is evaluating and activating additional fulfillment paths designed to keep searches progressing wherever possible. These include: 

• Exploring direct, onsite access at the courthouse to ensure continued throughput while online systems remain restricted. 

• Leveraging available public-domain access points where appropriate and allowed by the county. 

• Continuing to process urgent requests through conventional methods when access is available. 

• Engaging with county leadership to gather more clarity on the restrictions and advocate for restored access. 

• Testing additional capacity channels to expand movement of existing Harris County backlog. 

These steps give you access to fulfillment options that automated-only providers may not be able to leverage. 

Because online access remains blocked, you should continue to expect interim delays on Harris County searches, both those currently pending and any new volume submitted. As more organizations across the industry shift to onsite or manual courthouse research, turnaround times may fluctuate based on overall court capacity and researcher availability. 

We will provide another update once our evaluation of these expanded access methods is complete and we can confirm which paths will provide the most stable throughput.  We will provide another update before end of business tomorrow.

• This is a county-driven access restriction, not an issue with any individual provider. 

• Harris County is actively blocking online access, which is slowing processing across all fulfillment paths. 

• Searches may require onsite or in-court work, which can carry longer turnaround times. 

• InformData is actively implementing supplemental methods to keep work moving wherever possible. 

• Additional updates will follow as sustainable processing methods are confirmed. 

We will continue to do everything possible to advance your orders and will notify you as soon as new access methods are validated and active. 

12/16/25 - The primary online index for Harris County has undergone a system update that is currently impacting both access and automation functionality. Our team is actively investigating the issue and working to restore full automation capabilities as quickly as possible. Please expect delays on all Harris County orders at this time. 

Due to an unexpected change with the online primary index, our team is working on required updates to our automation in Lorain County. At this time, all orders are being completed through manual research. Please expect delays on all Lorain County orders until automation has been fully restored.

Court Clerks are providing required documents for complete case information at a slower rate. Please expect delays on all Kanawha County orders requiring clerk assistance at this time. 

Please expect minor delays on Cook County orders due to courthouse closure in observance of Pulaski Day on Monday, 3/2. 

The primary online index used in the following Illinois counties has recently undergone an unexpected change, impacting our automation capabilities. At this time, all orders in these counties are being completed through manual research. Please expect delays until automation functionality has been fully restored in the following counties: Champaign, DeKalb, Kendall, LaSalle, Madison, Sangamon, St. Clair, and Vermilion. 

The Macon County courthouse is currently closed due to mold remediation. The court has indicated that reopening is expected within the next two to three weeks. Please expect delays on all Macon County orders while the courthouse remains closed. 

A recent update to the online primary index in Greene County is impacting our automation capabilities for criminal searches. Our team is actively implementing the necessary updates to restore full automation functionality. In the interim, all Greene County criminal orders are being completed through manual research. Please expect delays until automation has been fully restored.

An update to the online primary index in Summit County is currently impacting our automation capabilities for criminal searches. Our team is actively implementing the necessary updates to restore full automation functionality. In the interim, all Summit County criminal orders are being completed through manual research. Please expect delays until automation has been fully restored. 

An update to the online primary index in Miami County is currently impacting our automation capabilities for criminal searches. Please expect delays in these Ohio counties until automation has been fully restored: Marion, Mercer, Sandusky, and Washington.

Intermittent issues with the online index in Kansas are currently affecting our automation capabilities. As a result, all Kansas orders are being processed through manual research. Please expect delays until automation functionality has been fully restored.  

Unexpected changes to the online index in Maryland are impacting our automation capabilities for all counties. All Maryland orders are currently being completed through manual research. Please expect delays on all Maryland orders until automation has been fully restored.
