Fuse Court Delays.

The Michigan State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) will discontinue the MiCOURT Case Search, the primary source for county criminal searches, on October 22, 2026. It will be replaced by the Michigan Online Court Case Search (MOCCS).

This change affects court searches in the 58 Michigan counties listed below. During the transition, searches will be completed manually, so turnaround times will be longer than normal.

WHAT’S CHANGING

MOCCS (the new system) is designed to centralize Michigan court record searches. According to SCAO, it will display the same court information currently available through MiCOURT and will expand the number of courts searchable through one system.

However, this update will include changes to the search process. MOCCS returns only exact matches to the entered search criteria. Results depend on how a name or other identifier is entered, so variations in spelling, format, or identifiers could affect what is returned. To ensure we support your ability to get accurate, complete results, we are building our new automation process with this in mind.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

We are working directly with SCAO to confirm:

• Additional counties or courts that may become searchable through MOCCS
• Whether MOCCS data fully matches what was available through MiCOURT
• Any new search, access, or operational requirements
• How the new search logic may affect the completeness and quality of results

We will not represent MOCCS results as complete until we have confirmed these points.

To keep Michigan orders moving, we have assigned dedicated staff to manually complete searches using MOCCS once it is live. At the same time, our automation team is building a compliant MOCCS workflow.

• Clear results: approximately 24–48 hours
• Results with a hit: approximately 48–72 hours

Turnaround may be longer in jurisdictions with high order volumes. We will share updated build timelines and turnaround expectations once the new workflow has been tested.

Searches in all other Michigan counties are not expected to be affected.

Our goal throughout this transition is to maintain the quality and accuracy of Michigan court searches while limiting delays. We will provide updates as part of our delay notifications as we have more details.

10/21/26 - Edmonds Municipal Court has confirmed that all required case filing updates have been completed. Normal processing of Snohomish County orders has now resumed. 

10/8/26 - All Snohomish County Courts are up and running with the exception of Edmonds Municipal Court. The Edmonds Court has told us to expect them to be fully up and running by either the end of this week or next week. We are in daily communication with the Court to ensure we remain informed. 

9/29/26 – Tukwila Municipal Court in King County has confirmed that case filing updates are complete, and order processing has resumed. Our team is still awaiting confirmation from multiple Snohomish County courts that their case filing updates are complete before resuming processing for Snohomish County and Washington Statewide orders.

We will provide additional updates as information becomes available and will confirm once updated case filings have been verified and normal processing can resume.

9/24/26 - Affected courts have not completed updating new case filing information. ETA for completion has been updated to Monday, September 28th. Orders will remain paused until updates by the courts are completed and validated. 


9/9/26 - Beginning September 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM PT through September 21, 2026, at 5:00 AM PT, the primary online index used for Snohomish and King Counties will temporarily stop displaying new case filing information for the courts listed below. As a result, Snohomish County, King County, and Washington Statewide orders will remain paused during this period.

The primary online index for Dougherty County is currently unavailable due to ongoing system issues, impacting our automation capabilities. Orders are being completed through manual research using the in-court Public Access Terminal (PAT). Please expect delays on all Dougherty County orders until access to the online index and automation capabilities have been fully restored. 

Court clerks at Ventura County Superior Court are currently experiencing staffing shortages. At this time, no estimated timeline has been provided for when staffing levels will return to normal. Please expect delays on all Ventura County orders requiring clerk assistance while these staffing challenges persist.

Our team is currently implementing required updates to automation for the primary online index used to process Statewide Michigan orders. In the interim, orders are being completed through manual research. Please expect delays on all Statewide Michigan orders until automation has been fully restored. 

Researchers are currently experiencing delays with clerk-assisted file retrieval at the Westchester County Courthouse. At this time, no estimated timeline has been provided for when normal processing times will resume. Please expect delays on all Westchester County orders requiring court file retrieval. 

The primary online index for Hillsborough County is currently experiencing intermittent issues that are impacting our automation capabilities. Please expect delays on all Hillsborough County orders until these issues have been fully resolved. 

The Maine Processing Center is currently experiencing delays in processing civil search requests. At this time, no estimated timeline has been provided for when normal processing times will resume. Please expect delays on all Maine civil orders while these processing challenges persist. 

10/13/26 - Our testing and today’s review of court websites confirm that court systems in San Juan, Island, Skagit, and Whatcom counties in Washington remain unavailable due to the JIS-Link migration. The expected downtime has been extended through October 25.

10/8/26 - InformData was made aware that the JIS-Link system migration is impacting access to court information in Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties. During this transition, new case filing information will not be updated in JIS-Link from October 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM through October 12, 2026, at 5:00 AM (Pacific Time).

As with the recent Snohomish and King County migrations, our team will remain in contact with the affected courts to verify that case filing information is fully updated before resuming normal order processing.

Justice Court clerks in Prentiss County are currently experiencing staffing shortages, with staffing levels expected to return to normal by Monday, 10/12. Please expect delays on all Prentiss County orders requiring clerk assistance during this time.

Orders are being completed through manual research while our team implements the necessary automation updates. Please expect delays on all Sutter County orders until automation has been fully restored.

10/6 - Court clerks continue to experience staffing shortages, and no updated timeline has been provided for when staffing levels are expected to return to normal. Our team is actively working with the courts to better understand the anticipated impact on turnaround times for searches requiring clerk assistance. Please expect delays while these staffing challenges persist.

9/17 - Court clerks in Mississippi County are currently experiencing staffing shortages and will have limited availability to assist with search requests until Monday, 9/21. Please expect delays on all Mississippi County orders requiring clerk assistance until staffing levels return to normal.

The primary court index for Sandusky County is currently being converted to a new system. At this time, no estimated timeline has been provided for when the conversion will be completed. Orders will remain paused until access to the new system is available. Please expect delays on all Sandusky County orders until the system conversion has been completed and normal processing can resume. 

The Public Access Terminal (PAT) in Pinal County is currently experiencing intermittent loading issues that are impacting research capabilities. The courthouse supervisor is aware of the issue; however, no estimated timeline has been provided for when full functionality will be restored. Please expect delays on all Pinal County orders while these issues persist. 

9/4/26 - Research has resumed and our team is working to complete all impacted orders. 

8/25/26 - The new case management in Sacramento Superior Court is continuing to have issues impacting research capabilities. At this time, no additional ETA has been provided by the court on when the issues will be resolved. Please continue to anticipate delays on all Sacramento County orders. 



8/18/26 - The Sacramento Superior Court has transitioned to a new case management system, which is currently experiencing issues that are preventing research from being completed. The court currently expects these issues to be resolved by Friday, 8/21. Please expect delays on all Sacramento County orders while these issues persist. 

9/3/26 - All Cuyahoga Court indexes are currently accessible and our team is working diligently to complete all previously impacted orders.


8/4/26 - The primary index for Rocky River Municipal Court is currently experiencing an outage. At this time, no estimated timeline has been provided for when service will be restored. Please expect delays on all Cuyahoga County orders requiring a search of Rocky River Municipal Court until the index has been fully restored. 

The primary online index for McLennan County was recently updated, impacting our automation capabilities. Orders are being completed through manual research while our team implements the necessary automation updates. Please expect delays on all McLennan County orders until automation has been fully restored. 

A recent update to the primary online index in Smith County is currently impacting our automation capabilities. Orders are being completed through manual research while our team implements the necessary automation updates. Please expect delays on all Smith County orders until automation has been fully restored. 

The Philadelphia courthouse has implemented a new file retrieval limit of 20 file pulls per week. Please expect delays on Philadelphia County orders requiring court file retrieval due to this new limitation. 

Court clerks in San Diego County are currently enforcing a strict five-case pull limit per researcher. Please expect delays on all San Diego County orders requiring clerk assistance. 

Our team is working to update automation for the primary online index across all West Virginia counties. Orders are currently being completed through manual research. Please expect delays on all West Virginia orders until automation has been fully restored.

An unexpected change to the primary online index in Clayton County is currently impacting our automation capabilities. Please expect delays on all Clayton County orders until automation has been fully restored. 

Our New Hampshire team was made aware of a new online source becoming available. During our initial testing, however, we found that the data currently available through the site is incomplete, including missing case information and identifiers. While the processing center updates information on its site, we anticipate delays of 1–2 weeks for all New Hampshire county criminal searches.

We will continue to validate the site's availability and data. For now, the New Hampshire processing center will continue to be InformData’s primary source for county criminal searches.
