From September 27–29, the background screening industry will come together in Arlington, Texas, for the 2026 PBSA Annual Conference. This year’s theme, “Making Human Connections in a Digital World,” comes at the right time.
AI is changing how nearly every industry thinks about technology, workflows, and the role people play in getting work done. Background screening is no exception.
But for us, the most interesting conversation isn’t whether AI will change the industry. It’s how screening itself can work better: where technology can make a process faster or more efficient, where AI can add real value, where human expertise still matters, and how all of these pieces work together to create better outcomes.

What Does Better Engineered Screening Look Like?
There isn’t one technology that will transform background screening, and there isn’t one right way to apply technology to every part of the process.
